Description
Five hundred years ago, an old and respected Shaolin martial arts tournament, held every 50 years, was corrupted by an old evil wizard named Shang Tsung. Next to him was Prince Goro, a fearsome Shokan warrior. — A half-human creature, half-dragon, with four arms. Aware that if the Outworld champion won ten consecutive tournaments, the Earth Kingdom (Earth Realm) would be conquered and plunged into darkness, Shang Tsung enrolled Goro in the tournament. The result was devastating: Goro defeated the legendary Grand Kung Lao and began to dominate the tournament as undefeated champion for five centuries. As the last decisive tournament approaches, Raiden, the God of Thunder and protector of the Earth Kingdom, sets in motion a desperate plan to balance the battle for mankind. Seven warriors then enter the arena, located on the mysterious island of Shang Tsung: Liu Kang, warrior Shaolin Sonya Blade, Special Forces agent Kano, mercenary and ruthless criminal Johnny Cage, actor in search of fame and glory Sub-Zero, warrior Lin Kuei with ice powers Scorpion, his undead rival driven by revenge Raiden, the God of Death Thunder Kombat itself is a side-scrolling fighting game, focused on fights one against one. Each fighter has a wide range of punches, kicks and special blows to defeat the opponent. When an opponent loses the second round, the winner can perform an iconic final blow: Fatality.
